Chic-Fil-A is extremely picky about who gets a franchise, where it’s located, and they they want the franchisee to focus only on that restaurant. One local franchise near me got a health complaint, and the store was shut down for a few months while it was rebuilt to eliminate any potential problems.

Not exactly. The franchisee gets to keep the profits they generate, which currently average about three times higher than a typical McDonalds, so the franchisee isn’t exactly just an employee. The cost to open a Chick-Fil-A restauarant is also significantly lower so someone who isn’t rich, or who doesn’t have rich family or friends, can still possibly open and run a Chick-Fil-A. You just can’t sell the franchise when you move on or retire. Given what I’ve heard can happen with franchises, you may be better of from this deal.

1 Wash cucumbers; cut off flower end. Cover with ice water, let stand 2 hours.
2 Divide red pepper, dill, garlic, pickling spices and alum between two 1-quart jars. Pack cucumbers into jars.
3 Combine Brine ingredients in 4-cup glass measure.
4 Microwave 10 to 15 minutes on HIGH, or until boiling (about 200° F). Fill jars with hot brine mixture. Cool; cover, and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving. Pickles will keep up to 3 months in refrigerator. 2 Quarts Pickles

You’re right in one way, and not in the other. Christianity is nuanced. It’s not legalistic like Islam, Judaism, and basically all other religions (including Mormonism, Catholicism, Seventh Day Adventism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc) and it’s based on recognizing your need for a Savior and your own sinfulness and utterly inescapable sin nature/imperfections not “Trying hard and doing better.”

You don’t “stop sinning and turn to Jesus” nor do you “turn to Jesus and try hard not to sin”. We are SUPPOSED to be so in love with Christ and so trusting and enamored with Him that we want to spend all our time with Him and reading the Word and THAT transforms our nature such that we become more like Him. Not that we have to muster it up from inside ourselves. Being on either end of the spectrum (thinking you are better than others or living like the world) is really the same wrong side - selfishness. Ultimately, it is the ultimate hypocrisy because you think we should be more accepting of homosexuals even though you are boldly unaccepting of us.

Not to mention, there mere idea of “homophobia” in insulting because it implies that I’m unable to look past their sexuality to get to know a homosexual person as a person, when in reality I do that all the time.
