what's you're throughts on the eagle? looking to get one in a few months
Jaxson Harris
sexy and underappreciated rally car
Gavin Anderson
Damn I wish I had a Lincoln like that myself.
Justin Torres
Post more awkward Lincolns.
Andrew Morgan
Beat subaru to the punch by at least a decade.
Just don't expect to do anything hardcore in it. There isn't a low range and I don't think it has a center differential lock.
Cameron Torres
>says post lincolns >posts Chrysler gj m8
Gavin Bennett
I'll mostly keep it on pavement, if I want to do serious off road shenanigans I'd get a beater jeep or toyota
Nicholas Russell
Buying cheap multimeter today, going to see about trying to get the MJ working again. All power to the vehicle is still gone as per my last post so I'm not too completely convinced that the problem is going to be all that awful to locate. Has to be close to the positive battery cable somewhere. Hopefully I can get the bastard working again soon, I'd hate to give up on it but I've got my regrets about this project for sure.
This puts the rest of your images to shame. A '54 Olds 88 at the Mille Miglia
Nolan Bell
I find it hilarious how the overall length of the G-Wiz or whatever that piece of shit is would fit completely in the wheelbase of the Lincoln.
Ryder Gutierrez
Its raining way too hard to go chase blown fuses or wires through the excalibur shit alarm, or why ever the fuck it wont start...
Thomas Nguyen
Also got to wait for USPS to bring me more toys.
Thomas Long
I also have a Twingo. The size difference is hilarious and the Camaro isn't even that big of a car.
Oliver Turner
>tfw nightshift
Atleast I've got a garage.
New shocks, new springs; done
all new brake system... soon
Easton Hill
I hope to god these load levelers help out. I plan to tow other cars with my barge soon enough.
Justin Walker
Barely bigger than an S-Class. Would be among my considerations if someone forced me to own an American car at gunpoint. Maybe rather a third gen or fourth gen though because liftback.
Leo Lopez
does your year caprice still have that weird ass electronic distributor hooked up to a knock sensor? I went through hell trying to figure out why my brother's 305 wouldn't start after I had pulled the engine to fix the rear main seal.
if it does you can bypass the entire ignition control module and make it a 1 wire HEI again by jumping two of the wires on the 4 pin connector. I think it was 2 and 4, but I'm not sure.
and apparently you can't paint over zinc coating very well.
Landon Ross
>order alt/power steering bracket for 5.3 >$50 bucks >couple days later buy power steering pump from LKQ >$38 bucks >bigass box comes in the mail wtf >pump came with the fucking bracket I should've just bought the pump first jej
Luckily the first one came with bolts and shit, the LKQ one didn't which is retarded.
Tyler Campbell
so I looked at the tag while i was under my galaxie this morning, it has 2.75 gears. so I guess 7.75 seconds 0-60 aint too bad considering then.
whats your problem with barges, son? They're like driving mobile living rooms.
James Hernandez
How hard is that shit to do on dirt?
Robert Harris
Camaro car of the year, every year.
Ask Roadkill.
Nathan Reed
Dude.
Dude.
Get an old shit piece of carpet to work on so you're not rolling around in the dirt. Bulk trash day in the city is a great way to find rugs and whatnot. Who cares if it's stained, it's gonna sit outside in the sun and rain.
It's pretty shitty. Those tiny caster wheels just dig in when there's any kind of load on the cherrypicker. You're better off rolling the car out from underneath the cherrypicker instead of the other way around.
A carpet makes it a bit better (the cherrypicker still sinks, but it doesn't DIG) but a cement slab is obviously the best way to go.
Levi Howard
>windmill land so what, netherlands? sounds like it'd be bretty eyecatching in the EU
Nicholas Carter
I do occasionally pull some rugs out, but they've gotten so ratty over the years of use it's easier just to use the cardboard his new hood came in.
what said. you'll find yourself taking a jack handle to the inside of the frame on the engine hoist every few feet to lift it up out of the crater it made. That's why you see the 2 wheeler wrapped around the engine in the pic.
Shit sucks major balls.
Jordan Gutierrez
though my dog pissed on a couple of sheets of the stuff, which i forgot the mention.
Nathaniel Phillips
fuckin bastard. Give him a cadillac to sleep in and he pisses all over my things.
>dont have fun with your personal property, stay in the fold like the rest of us sheep.
Nicholas James
>you can't have fun with a stock classic You're not a real classic car enthusiast
Nolan Jenkins
Am I allowed here?
Matthew Ramirez
>jap crap REEEEEEEEEEEEE
Nathaniel Gray
I think my front shocks are leaking...
Eli Davis
If it's 1992 or older, sure. Nice that you kept it stock though
Juan Gonzalez
BRAAAAAAP
Ethan Barnes
Just wipe it off and forget about it for another 10 years
Kayden Collins
May I suggest replacing them with load levelers?
Adrian Brown
hey that means i can play too
Aiden Cruz
Well, the current ones are the original shocks... so its probably about time.
I was thinking of buying some KYB Excel-Gs are the load levelers good?
Thomas Williams
What size wheels/tires? Great stance
Hudson Anderson
give it another 20 years when all these barges are older and some people will be saying "nice car" to you at gas stations and stuff, versus today people barely batting an eye.
I wonder if cars from the early 2000s will ever be classics. Ever think in 40 years people will look at an 01 malibu and think "man, that's a nice car. why dont they make them like this anymore?"
Levi Brooks
No. I don't. There is nothing memorable about that's car. Nothing.
Blake Perry
Load levelers are meant to assist old, worn out springs, but can also be used to stiffen up a suspension system when used with new springs for better handling and less body roll.
I have KYB gas a just shocks up front with new springs, load levelers and cargo coils in the rear, they're all pretty alright.
Joshua Anderson
but user, i keep my grand marquis in nice shape (no rust/rot, do wash & wax it) and at gas stations I have gotten some older folks compliment me on it. I agree right now it's not on par with the classics of the 50s/60s, but it's a style no longer in production and are rarely seen on roads. That has to count for something, yeah?
Brandon Clark
When they start making vehicles with even less imagination and originality, we will look back and appreciate the 2000s, yes.
Zachary Evans
I wasnt knocking your car, user. I was just stating something i noticed. I got tons of compliments on my old maverick simply because it was old. Back in the day it was a shitbox car that everybody and their mother owned. I doubt very much people back then would have thought that people today would think they're nice or cool cars.
Ryan Lopez
i took a look and it seems as though they dont make them for 69 mustangs. But thanks for the suggestion
we'll probably replace the coils with in the next year anyways.
Adrian Turner
they do, I just dont think they're called load levelers. Here:
I'm getting a very clean turd gen Camaro with a 305 and an auto for 3k. Decent deal or nah?
Liam Gray
Nice slab
Michael Harris
Last time I drove a Mercedes Sprinter down my driveway I was thankful for having a spotter. It's the same story with my garage. S-Class size is the absolute maximum I wanna have to deal with.
Logan Gonzalez
That's extremely good for highway gears
Jaxon Phillips
Well i'm going to be doing the front shocks first (which were the ones in pic related) but when i get around to doing the rear shocks those load-levelers are definitely going to be a serious consideration.
Eli Fisher
>I wonder if cars from the early 2000s will ever be classics I mean, it depends on the car. Panthers and early 00's landyacht remnants most definitely, maybe the Monte Carlo... I can't bring much else back to memory though
Elijah Phillips
...
Julian Hill
Is this the car RCR reviewed? That mismatched bumper looks familiar...
Jason Diaz
Is 92 classic yet?
Benjamin Murphy
Probably a stupid question, but any ideas why my Bronco has been dry starting after sitting for 8 hours? It's usually less than or about a second before it gets oil pressure and the horrendous noise of my bearings killing themselves stops. This has only started happening since I replaced the valve cover gaskets and intake manifold gaskets and cleaned the insides of both up, which I don't think should have any effect. It's a 5.0 with ~130K miles. Fresh oil and filter. It should probably be noted that I'm using 20W50 because I had low oil pressure previously, but it had the same thing (after the gaskets) on the 500 miles old 10W30 I was running until I changed to 20W50 yesterday.
Blake Gutierrez
Manual swap yay or nay
Jayden Murphy
Sure if you're ready to drop the $1500 on a new crate 350. 305 a shit.
Wyatt White
T56 or bust, nigga
William Jackson
You better shove a 350 in it
Nathaniel Powell
The girth though
Nathaniel Perry
Feels good man
T56 was made to fit in such spaces, albeit tightly.
Robert Lee
Parking lots in France are small as fuck, why would you bring a land barge there
Andrew Rogers
Yep, that's the plan. Also interested in the manual swap too. My main question was just is 3 grand too much to spend on the platform of my first project car?
Easton Kelly
You'd be done with a WC t5 out of a mustang. You've got a mild 302 right?
Jack Richardson
Should I place a bid? It doesn't run, I am not very experience in repairs and I'd have to get it from AZ to NJ. At least it looks like it wouldn't cost very much though.
3k is a typical price for turd gens. Manual swap a bit of work though. You might want to try finding a manual 305 and putting in a 350
Elijah Kelly
Man, my first car was fucking huge like that. Maybe that's why I'm a good driver. Learning to maintain lane and maneuver on a monster boat, and now having a nimble, well handling machine.
The size difference is mind-blowing.
Noah Jones
That regular t5 will Mike itself if you or any work into the 350 though, which you will because it's so fucking cheap
Charles Butler
I want to work a bit though. Plus the few manual 305s around me are trashed to shit.
Logan Gonzalez
What? Also automatic with a manual valve body isn't bad
Aaron Nelson
Sorry, meant to reply to
Joshua Baker
You'll need the whole pedal assembly, different trans mounts and you'll need a good transmission. Regular t5 will explode rather quickly under anything but a stock or extremely mild 350
Think the t56 conversion kit from Hawks would be good? Or should I try to find the pieces myself?
Oliver Parker
Torqueconverterpucci is just too drawn out desu
Bentley Jackson
T56 of good. Benefit is you can swap an LS in at any time when you feel more ambitious
Jeremiah Brown
Right. That's why I'm looking at a turd gen. I can do easy upgrades first, and start doing more ambitious stuff later as I go along. I think that's a good way of doing it.
Nathaniel Williams
Sounds like a good plan
Christian Mitchell
>even the BMW looks small, after all these years where each segment has only grown bigger really puts things in perspective I mean look at the F30 and the E30, both D segment.
Liam James
>Barely bigger than an S-Class. what
Jose Evans
he's just cherrypicking the smallest S-class and the biggest Camaro
Ryan Morgan
Anyone experienced with Weber 38/38? Considering throwing one on my slant six.
It's becoming more and more apparent that my chinkshit BBD won't survive actual use.
