I recently reinstalled and trie dit out again and it was really fucking fun. Especially how you have to tactically think and target specific groups, take out some enemies before you could engage the big guys.
One key element in this seems to be a bigger screen size and abilities that knock back.
Why are there no other ARPGs like this? it's always just chewing through unending hordes and clearing unending ammounts of loot.
Why does the only way that ARPGs seem to be able to scale their game be to simply buff up vanilla mobs and increase the slight annoyances to major bother status? Why does every ARPG have to end in an endless quest for nothing but higher NUMBRZ?

You can't stack up ED damage so all you'd have to do is either keep casting Wither (or just use it as a totem as I did) and then hope or run from the enemies and keep contagion and ED up, hoping it will kill them.
Trash falls almost isntantly, but bosses take a while.
If you want a similar but funner build, go scorch. With scorch you can actually stack up dmg and pretend the spell had an actually decent sound effect.

Is it so? I played ED before (before SSF was officially a thing) in self found and I had literally no issues whatsoever. The build was fun, but eventually, I wanted to move out because you just grow bored of it.

Regardless, the damage should still be the same, and earthquake isn't bad in that regard, and that enchant boosts the dps considerably, so I think you can still make a decent buck with it
Earthquake got hit as badly as other skills, so in the end it's position didnt change
