Got through with deficit deads ~80%x5x4@7. Been sitting on a hard AF chair all day, so the first 2-3 sets felt terrible. Last one felt completely okay though.

Rotation (and thus anti-rotation) core strength is dealt by your obliques and lats.

Having strong obliques and lats is pretty important for squats and deadlifts.

Not even sure why, it might be the pauses that are very hard to measure - often I do 2 second pauses and that might just be really taxing.
