Bench Goals

Right now i can bench my bodyweight, what should my goal be?

thats it. You can stop working out now

that doesn't tell us anything

benching bodyweight at 5'5" 125 is not the same as it is at 6'5" 245

regardless your goal should be 3pl8

>double it

To keep progressing. Benching bodyweight isn't impressive unless you're a god damn whale

Nevermind. Even a 400 lbs person benching 400 is stupid

>what should my goal be?
always more than you can lift right now

6'7" 240 lbs

Hit 235x3 on monday, felt easy as fuck, my last max was around 250. With my long arms, how long will it realistically take to hit 3pl8?

BW for 5 reps
1.5x BW

These are long term goals.

Give it another year at least unless you shift 90% of your focus to bench.

That's about what I figured. My progress on bench is slow (only hit heavy 1x/week), but I'm hoping my above average OHP will make a difference.

OHP will definitely help. What shot my bench up is upping my back work. I weigh 180 and bench 260 for one. Stopped all together due to shoulder problems so back and legs got the focus for a couple months and it added 10 lbs to my bench without any real chest or arm work.

current bw 74kg
bench is 112,5kg x 4

cutting atm, my goal is to rebulk after the cut and hit 120kg x 4-5 @ around 75kg bw.
dunno if possible but thats about my long term goal for this year.

wanted to reach 100kg x 5
benched 4 times a week but changed gym and the bar is somewhat heavier, but i think with normal oly bar i would make it
but 3pl8 1RM is my goal

>tfw cant bench because I hurt my shoulder trying to front squat

Gain some weight

bench is stupid

your goal is the next step up from what you're lifting now
Don't set goals that are way ahead from where you are, set small goals and keep accomplishing them over time

BW x 1.91, the only true bench goal.

Bench a lot

Your goal should be to outbench Kirill Sarychev.
