Chad cars

This guy gets it. Women don't care about cars, dogs will do you much better in that regard.

It is a problem with being a "car guy" though, I have always liked them so drive a fairly nice one and people always think I drive it to show off when in fact I just really like it and have different priorities to other people. In my last job my manager made a snide comment about how my car was better than his after seeing it in the car park and seemed more hostile to me after that.

No one in my new job knows what I drive and I don't plan on telling them. Nice cars can bring out a bad reaction in some people.

only working class people actually care about cars
such a trashy hobby

my man

stop pretending you know anything about the interests or spending habits of wealthy people

you don't

You're missing the point.

A car is an extension of who you are and tells a lot about you, just like your body, your apartment, and the way you talk and carry yourself, where do you think the "he's compensating" meme about big vehicles came from?, consumer vehicle are above all status symbols as well otherwise we'd all be driving 1 Lt turbo beetles.

>He drives a motorcycle he's such a bad boy I bet he likes adventuring and traveling.
>Look at that convertible I bet he makes a shitton of cash and slays on the reg.
>*V8 straight pipe noises*
>*Raised eyebrows*
>Look at that car it looks amazing he must've spent a lot of cash and time modifying it.

Also it's a passion/life goal that's hard to put into words.
>Get shredded.
>Buy a coupe BMW 3 series E32, E36 or E46.
>Change exhaust, lower it, 18 inch rims, full sound system.
>Cruise down empty roads or drive like a maniac in traffic blasting trap, dubstep and edm wearing sunglasses and a t-shirt.
HEAVEN.

You sound like a 16 year old. Cars are NOT an extension of you. At my office, only the owners (multi millionaires) and entry level idiots (completely over extended) have nice cars. All the senior engineers and salesmen that make crazy money drive beaters.

Driving is fun. I like nice cars. If you want to spend money on it, that's fine. BUT, just like the majority of gym goers, the majority of nice car owners do it to attract women. That's a TERRIBLE, COST INEFFICIENT strategy. Get a dog. Get a raise. Buy a house. You will do better than any idiot driving a jag.

Somewhat agree, but still, women are gold diggers by nature, they like shiny things and status symbols, a shitbox civic won't get a second look compared to, say a Corvette.

user it's the same argument that goes into body building, some just want to be in decent shape, some want to be the strongest person in the room regardless of looks, and some do it for women, for the mires and the sloots.

>You sound like a 16 year old.
Nah it's a life goal of mine, as in where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I have a lexus. Good for backseat good times.

I have this

If you tell him to go to Veeky Forums he'll get told to kill himself before being told to buy a 3k civic

It's not a friendly board for newfags

That is because they leave the nice car at home and take the beater to work. Went round to a senior manager at my works house one evenings for a few drinks as we all get on really well. He drives a 10 year old diesel Volvo to work, never mentions cars to anyone. We ran out of beer so he told me to go to the garage and get another crate out of the big fridge, and what is sitting there but an Audi R8 V10 with a manual gearbox. Turns out he is a huge car guy, and he was very open about it when he realised I was interested as well and not just judging it by its "status"

Nice surprise that
