For me it is usually 6-7. Some are completely fine with 4, others need 10.

6-8 hours. Anything else is wrong.
6 hours of DEEP sleep, not "I laid in bed at 10pm and woke up at 4am"

Laying in bed at 9pm, falling asleep sometime before 10, and then waking up at 4am is what 6 hours is.
Same goes for 7 and 8.

I usually get less than four hours and it's ruining me. My wife goes to bed early because she works early, but I usually can't fall asleep until around 1am or so, which normally would be fine since I don't have to get up early. However my wife is a massive bitch and hits snooze like three times before actually getting up and then when she finally does she turns on the tv with the volume full blast. I even slept in the other room last week just so she wouldn't wake me up, but I was rudely awoken at 5am by a loud braaappp. I opened my eyes and the bitch was standing beside the bed farting in my face and laughing. I know for some of you that is your fetish, but if I wasn't so tired I probably would've legit strangled her. Once I'm awake I can't go back to sleep and I'm just a zombie the rest of the day. I'm at my wits end lads, I don't know what to do.

She swears the farting thing wasn't intentional, but I don't think I buy it. I think she is just jealous that I don't have to wake up early like she does so she subconsciously punishes me by finding ways to wake me up without even realizing how big of a bitch she is being.

I stay awake for 4-5 days at a time and then sleep for 24-36 hours after that, it's a hardcore cycle but worth it

That's retarded, since the beginning of time until the introduction of electric lights a century ago it was the norm for people to sleep 8-11 hours per night and wake up at dawn. Sleeping "too much" is only unhealthy if you have a health issue like depression or low thyroid that can fuck with your circadian rhythm

I've tried this, but I either get so tired that I fall asleep during the middle of the day or for w/e reason when the night comes I just lay there all groggy w/o being able to fall asleep. My sister offered me some melatonin, but I would rather not use sleep aids.

is 6am-2pm an acceptable amount of sleep? Work has pretty much forced me into it because of doing swing/closing shifts. I know my circadian rhythms fucked but am at least allowing myself enough sleep or should I try to adjust?
