/fast/ #93: Do it for you

im an idiot no bulli

I did keto right. I had my macros down and I lost 20lbs.

But that doesn't change the fact that it's hard to maintain for a long period of time. People may become keto adaptive, but is it worth permanently removing X food and Y drink from your life? Especially when you can lose the same amount of weight by eating less food and fasting? Why do keto in the first place, besides wanting to be a special snowflake

Clearly I touched a nerve. Good luck with your diet. But say good-bye to your social gains.

i'm not doing keto, just saying it's best for fatloss

I know. I'm speaking pass you.

I was 262lb on october 1st, I've done two fasts, a 43 day fast and 24 day fast, Im currently 196 pounds, (went down to 186 on breaking the 24 day fast 3 days ago, gained like 7-8 pounds in water weight)

It was very much worth fasting, I never would have expected to lose this much so quickly.

My quality of life has also improved massively and i no longer feel like a gigantic fat pile of shit.

I mean i'm still overweight and plan to still lose another 30-35 pounds, but Im not disgustingly overweight anymore.

Im about to reach 5 days and I havent shit since I started. I feel fine, no stomach pains, should I be worried?

No, it is normal. You're not eating you're gonna shit a lot less - possibly not shitting at all.

is it possible to go on really long runs fasted? I want to fast for a couple weeks to shave off excess fat, but I also run 20 miles every sunday, and I don't want fasting to ruin those
