The 1/2/3/4 standard is 1RM???? I always thought they were for 5.
The 1/2/3/4 standard is 1RM???? I always thought they were for 5
>I always thought they were for 5.
It is.
Seems like most of this board has the wrong impression
Wtf is the 1234 standard
lurk moar
people to try to get to 1234 (plates)
1 plate OHP, 2 plate bench, 3 plate squat, 4 plate deadlift. That means on each side... plates are 45 lbs each
They are for 5. Anyone who can't do them for 5 is a weakfag
if you do them even for 1 rep you're still doing 1/2/3/4 you dumb autist. Do you even use your brain?
for 5 no question
So if I'm above 2345 I'm stronger than 99% of soys here? I was at this 1234 code word before my senior year in highschool..
Cool
Does 1/2/3/4 apply to manlets? I have no desire to fuck with with a 405 deadlift.
pretty sure 1/2/3/4 for 5 is stronger than 95% of Veeky Forums
just cheat it with sumo, fellow shortlad
why would you think that you fucking retard
It's easier to pull a conventional 405 DL as a manlet than if you're tall.
t. manlet who's achieved 1/2/3/4
Not him but probably cause having that as your working weight is more impressive than going "oh bro yeah bro i definitely lifted that one time bro"
it is 5 reps, it's just some beta soyboys that try to cheat the system "hurr i can do 1/2/3/4 as well brothers!
but not really
"
IT'S 5 NOT 1!
I always thought it was for 8. I’ve made it brehs
Either you can lift 1/2/3/4 or you can't. 1 rep is enough. This meme needs to die.
well, it's obviously more impressive to do 1/2/3/4 for 5 reps than one rep, but it's still fair to say you can do 1/2/3/4 even if you can only do one rep. I hate this meme.
>hiding the fact that you’re a fat shit by using 1234 instead of 350+ wilks
This. If you make 1 rep, 2 and 3 are just around the corner, and 4 to 8 take a little bit.
It should be 2/3/4/5
>counting plates instead of percentage of bodyweight
delusional fatties
>t. bloatload
you're so cool man, you started lifting in HS
how can someone be as cool as you?
>disparaging people because they didn't start as early as you
>still on Veeky Forums when you're past 2/3/4/5
you're never going to make it
delusional fatties
>such a manlet that he's below average
You're such an inspiration fella. Women want to be with you, men want to be you. Life must be so easy for you, and yet, here you are
It actually refers the weight you can use for 10x10 German Volume Training.
kecc
Nobody likes people like you.
>getting so triggered by the weight comment he starts talking about height
are you a woman by any chance
>doing more than 3 deadlifts
>The 1/2/3/4 standard is 1RM???? I always thought they were for 5.
They are.
Unless you can bench 2xBW for 5, ie something that 95% of athletes can't do, you aren't really intermediate.
>something that 95% of athletes can't do, you aren't really intermediate
>if you are not in the top 5% of athletes you aren't intermediate
>if you only bench 165 kg x5 as a 83kg male you are still a beginner
Ok.
the numbers refer to number of plates, not BW
Wut
5'6 150lbs here. I do 1/2/3/3.5
>counting percentage of bodyweight
>NOT counting percentage of LBM
never gonna make it
For 5? Didn't know that this forum was so full of rippetards
and that's a 75 second rest between sets, not 90 you twinks
please post body
t. noob manlet
I always thought they were 5 because it’s a rule of thumb for when you should stop doing a beginners SS style 3x5 program. Unless you’re massive or a manlet, 5 reps of 1234 is a sign you should move to an intermediate program. That’s what I did anyway
Is 1/2/3/4 the standard for being male?
I can press 70kg, bench 100kg, squat 160kg, and deadlift 180kg. Feeling pretty weak desu.
>My hobby is hanging out in a place where extremely strong men go, and I spend lots of time on the internet looking at incredibly strong men and listening to my peers estating
you're always going to feel weak. the day you started lifting is the day you became forever small.
>2xBW for 5
So I am supposed to bench 250kg for 5? I guess I am still a beginner. SS, here I come!
F-fuck. What do?
Keep lifting
Alright twink
Hang out around normies and compare yourself to them.
>compare yourself to people who squat less than you press
heh actually a good idea to feel food about yourself
>doesn’t want to pull heavy
Faggot, just stop lifting
>press 70 but only bench 100
You sure you don’t mean push pressing there senpai?
No. I just rarely bench. My pecs are shit because of it.
>1 loyal wife

>1 plate OHP (3 RM): Check
>2 plate Bench: Nope
>3 plate Squat: Nope
>4 plate Deadlift (1 RM): Check
Squat has always been a fucking awkward lift for me so I'm not surprised I've been stuck in the 200s forever, but I would've thought my bench would outpace my OHP
Run a Smolov Jr. cycle for the squat or do C6W lower portion.
It’s really more impressive to do it in increments of bodyweight
1/1.5/2/2.5 X
Nah, need to Wilks it. Bodyweight is easier for smaller guys by a lot.
>that hair
they are for 6
>1/2/3/4% of bodyweight
wtf isn't this kinda easy
You have to be 18
>be 6'7
>PB conventional diddly is 2.5pl8 for 3
>However I can Sumo 5pl8 for reps
Conventional deadlifts are much harder, does this mean that they are better? I feel like a fraud doing sumo
>less than 150 lbs bodyweight
Lol
Sumo is cheating
t. manlet
>tastefully trimmed pubic hair
>nasty sweaty unkempt bush
but 5pl8 :(
how to i get good at conventional?
Do conventional until you're good at it
Your upper back will be shit at that height unless you can row at least 2pl8. You won't be able to keep tightness in your lats otherwise.
grow longer arms
he weighs 110 pounds

I forgot how insecure this board is.
retarded. show me a vid, or you will have to kys today.
>nasty sweaty unkempt bush
Literally my fetish.
>I forgot how insecure this board is.
t.Captain Larp
gib secrets.
same height and got the lower body milestones but upper body lifts are pathetic
>cars
kys
Well this thread has been had a million times.
Still I wonder: How long are you allowed to pause between each deadlift rep for it still to count?
