"Just memorize the formula"
ITT: Things Brainlets say
6200 x 140 -----> 62 x 14 = 62(10 + 4)
620 + 248 = 868
Add the zeros plus extra for a ballpark estimate.
868,000 + 10,000 = 878,000
Approximately 878,000. Still a ways off but whatever.
this, I can do most calculations like calculating tax, growth, sequences, shit that I use all the time for my job, but i still consider myself a brainlet because I can't do calculus for shit.
why not learn some of the calculus?
How much does a gallon weigh?
The gallon (/ˈɡælən/) is a unit of measurement for liquid capacity in both the US customary units and the British imperial systems of measurement. Three significantly different sizes are in current use: the imperial gallon defined as 4.54609 litres, which is used in the United Kingdom, Canada, and some Caribbean nations; the US gallon defined as 231 cubic inches (3.785 L), which is used in the US and some Latin American and Caribbean countries; and the least-used US dry gallon defined as 1⁄8 US bushel (4.405 L).
...
If you can do algebra you can do calculus. If you can't do algebra, learn you goddamn brainlet.
stripping this from it's context it's actually technically true
