I totally agree; the Nazis were futurists. They had some horrible ideas but there was more to their governing philosophy than genocide or racism. They wanted to build a futuristic society and wanted to be on the right side of science and engineering, and respected scientific expertise.
I dunno the difference between white nationalists and neo nazis, but I know I have a lot more respect for much of the worldview of Nazis than neo nazis which I just associate with purely retrograde thinking and unrefined character.
