Before other retards come in yes you can get financial aid but colleges that aren't Ivies typically don't give it to pay everything unless you are poor or lower-middle class. Ivies will give it to some degree until you are rich.

That amount is fucking pennies compared to what he will make a few years after school, even with a shitty job. There's also nothing preventing him from working part-time and not even needing a loan at all.

Btw, my parents didn't pay for me, scholarships outweighed tuition and expenses, and grad school had a generous stipend :^)

Try making 6k+ in one summer as a college student. I'm lucky I got a job in Cali that'll cover it, others not so much. 6k+ is a lot for any college student, especially since 90% is JUST FOR FUCKING HOUSING (my point)
