These are actually legitimate questions though aren't they? If there ever will be a space colony, will they use the local calendar or will they used the earth's? Will they have more birthdays?

There is a difference between time and calendar. Probably they will switch to a local calendar.
The problem is in keeping time. we could use the UNIX epoch. But how do you keep time when it is relative?
