It's an interesting theory and like many others here is it applies to me. However, even when I was completely taken by the /pol/tardism I still remained aware of how absurd it was to have those worldviews. I wonder if I'm alone in this or if others in this thread were in a similar mindset when they were browsing.
The science of /pol/
You can say the same for every bit of news that is published. Journalism is a comedy of errors, there are thousands of opinionated articles all claiming to be the truth when in reality the days of Walter Cronkite are gone. You look at these articles and then you see that there are dozens of unnamed sources, you also start to see a pattern of the same phrases being used across different news networks. They also like to have misleading headlines just to get users to click on the article so they get a profit. Half of it may be them pushing some sort of agenda, but mostly it's because they're incompetent morons who don't want to bother doing their job in finding the truth. They write their articles in a half assed CD CM format, give it a shocking /interesting headline and pump it out before anyone else can.
Then there's cable news which is utter garbage. The only place they get thier profits from are old bitties and McDonalds waiting lines (If your Mcdonalds has a TV that is). They love using the bell toll sound effect and other graphical alerts to keep the audiences attention;
DING* DING*
GOOD AFTERNOON I'm A.A Arron with this breaking announcement. Should the presidents diet be of concern to the American public? Today, Trump ordered a LARGE BIG MAC MEAL, and... an apple pie!
Not to mention the sheer amount of sensory overload with their graphical bullshit. You have the bottom scroller, top scroller, alert this, alert that, it's all nonsense!
The only way to find the truth depends on how far you're willing to sift through this mayhem of untruths. I myself am wasting my time in this thread of untruths, I hope the OP actually listens to what I'm saying and is not just being paid per post.
Tbh I used to go on /pol/ back when I was an incel autist back in 2012, freaked out over online feminists and the whole nine yards (I even wrote a paper in my high school that could have totally got me referred to counselling if the teacher wasn't cool). Once I got laid I stopped getting pissed off over this autistic shit. Since a lot of nu-/pol/ is reddit spillover I wouldn't be surprised if most heavy users fit your description, like you said, they need help more than just being written off as dumb frogposters, even if they are shitting up a bunch of this site
I know a guy who's been socially reclusive for the last 10 years, and he's your stereotypical bleeding heart liberal.
>intelligence is chiefly influenced by socio-economic status
lul, there are people who really believe this.
