Theoretical limit of evolution

What would be the theoretically deadliest most succesful creature that if it were to exist it would completely dominate all other life on earth forever? Also, is it possible to avoid its eventual creation?

im thinking about some kind of super virus that has its own mobility, seeks its targets agresively and can also generate its own energy via sunlight, some sort of grey goo if you wish. Could there be a creature more superior than grey goo?

humans

so if a super killer pathogen were to be realized youre confident humans would prevail?

Or superintelligent AI. It could think of ways to beat your supervirus or humans that we can't even imagine.

yeah, because humans are a heck of a lot smarter than some bug. For example, even nanotech based grey goo can be destroyed by blocking out the sun and neutron bombing it.

but once this hypothetical creature came into existence it would be game over for us. So there are 3 options:
1)we are the superior creature
2)we have ways of making sure that creature will never exist
3) that creature will inevitably exist and destroy us

really? do you think we have the technology, or will ever have the technology to have most of our population living in extremely air tight habitats that wouldn't even let pass one bacteria, were talking about ultra agresive microbes that actively seek you and can survive for a long time even int he vacuum of space

so how the fuck do ultra-agressive microbes actively seek you out? How do viruses know where you are and move on their own THROUGH AIR?
>>can survive for a long time even int he vacuum of space
fucking how

>> will ever have the technology to have most of our population living in extremely air tight habitats that wouldn't even let pass one bacteria
we could make them like we make current biosafety labs but in reverse. You filter air a lot and keep the habitat at positive pressure. Everyone going in has to take a shower in bleach and other virus killing compounds and stay in quarantine until they can be proven to be safe. If push came to shove humans would be able to survive.

>so how the fuck do ultra-agressive microbes actively seek you out?
mini sensors.
>How do viruses know where you are and move on their own THROUGH AIR?
mini wings powered by photosintesis, its possible on ultra small scales

>we could make them like we make current biosafety labs but in reverse. You filter air a lot and keep the habitat at positive pressure. with current levels of infrastructure and technology?

>>mini sensors
>>mini wings
you might have just said pixie dust and unicorn farts. What the fuck are you sensing? And how the fuck are you moving DIRECTIONALLY in air on the scale of FUCKING NANOMETERS.
>>powered by photosintesis
prove that you can get enough power to do so. And as far as sensors go, humans can make bait that mimics humans to attract these superviruses and remove them

ok humans you win this time, but next time us apex predator microbes will get you

so theoretically scale wise humans are the best? like, if we were smaller we couldnt be smart enogh, but if we were bigger? what?

Extremophile microorganisms. When the Sun expands but before it engulfs Earth, the only things left will be the thermophiles.

implying we wont have anti gravity magic matter creators by then. nigga we went to the moon less than 100 years after inventing the air craft think of what we could do in 1 mil let a lone several billions

4. by the time we have this superintelligence we will have mapped the brains neural networks one to one to processor instructions and will have bridged the gap between us, so we and this superintelligence will be indistinguishable from each other.

>implying we'll make it to 2019

we will

>fucking how
tardigrades live in space.
hehe retardigrades

>And how the fuck are you moving DIRECTIONALLY
what is so hard about moving directionaly if youre small? like do the principles of aerodynamics stop mattering?

turbulence is a bigger issue at smaller scales
Reynolds number and stuff

your question is flawed hahaha your'e a gay faggot idiot

This is impossible. We live in a dynamic forever changing world. Nothing is static and determinism is observed with stochastic backing.

Wts the point in hypotheticals when youve just made something up without any reasonable physical considerations.

evolutionary advantage is relative to the living/survival conditions. therefore, as long as a creature's existence is challenged in some way, whether by other creatures or by environment itself, there is no theoretical limit of evolution.

>What would be the theoretically deadliest most succesful creature that if it were to exist it would completely dominate all other life on earth forever?
The Chad

no the idea is to keep it within the realms of physics

but user we are the grey goo

10/10 post. Good thing you decided to necro this thread for the sake of shitty reply that has nothing to do with the OP. Next time, just sage. You get your satisfaction of posting your comment, but we don't have to deal with this shitty thread talking about hybrid virus bugs with wings.

viscous forces outweigh inertial forces, so the priniciples of aerodynamics do sort of stop mattering. Propellers no longer work. At scales this small, air molecules STICKING to our device start to become an issue. Because viscous forces are so much more relevant as we go smaller, small insects can't fly fast enough to overcome very low wind forces.
